VISIT PESCHICI AND THE GARGANO
The Gargano boasts some of the most extraordinary landscape resources in Italy: over 130 km of beaches, coves, sea caves, cliffs, stacks, picturesque villages perched along the coast and surprising archaeological remains.
"Le Antiche Porte" is the starting point for unforgettable excursions.
From the port of Peschici it is possible to embark for the Tremiti Islands, visit the sea caves and the splendid coastline with suggestive bays and stacks. Even Croatia can be reached on a day trip.
Just 10 km away is the Umbra Forest National Park, an immense and imposing green lung that hosts a rich flora and fauna within its spectacular environment. Furthermore, the Gargano is famous for its religious cults: San Giovanni Rotondo (the town where the Holy Father Pio lived), Monte Sant'Angelo with the Sanctuary of San Michele and San Marco in Lamis with the Sanctuary of San Matteo.
You can also make day trips to Castel del Monte, Alberobello, the Castellana Caves, Naples and Pompeii.
